Swimarathon, Clay heroes, Breakfast club and Easter Drama.

Swimarathon 2016

Last term we had 3 teams of children past and present and parents who made up 3 teams in the Rotary Club of Grantham's annual Swimarathon.
Teams swam between 130 and 170 lengths per team and pledged to raise just over £600.
Present pupils showing their certificates and Rotary Goody bags.

Well done and thank you-some very tired legs after all the effort.

Thank you to past pupils and parents for such a fabulous effort.Same time next year?

Clay Super heroes.

In Art we have painted our Super Heroes- they really are super!
some of their own creations..

Breakfast Club

The children came to show me their Stacking Cups creation-here it is....
Beautifully arranged- a long time to build, not so long to demolish!

Easter Drama Freeze Frames.
We are retelling the Easter story this term using drama and through diary writing. Her are 3 groups representing Palm Sunday. Can you identify who is what? Can you see Jesus, the donkey, crowds of supporters, the disciples, people in the crowd who didn't know what was happening? If so then the drama was successful.

 3 groups interpretation

Children only had 5 minutes to agree parts and to practise and present their Freeze Frame. The 3 rd group completed this within 4 minutes.

Class displays and volcano work.

We are really proud of our Supernero and villain work which has resulted in a fabulous display in our classroom.

Our own superhero designs and descriptions, Kennings about heroes and villains, vocabulary to describe them, comic strips...so much work.

Our villain...

Our Geography corner is also progressing well.

The volcano has now been painted and is almost ready for erupting!

Painting the volcano...

At least the painting was not done wearing Sports Kit unlike the floury first week!

Watch out for further updates.
