Time for an activity...get into birthday order WITHOUT talking!

not that easy...
In groups could we use teamwork to untangle the human knot?

some groups got on better than others!

New Term... New Class 3...

First activity...to find out fascinating facts about some of their new class mates.

Our shed monitors found a toad whist sorting the PE shed out and so caught it ready to release it safely away .

Hopefully  the toad is now safer than he was in the PE shed.

The new Year 5 children made a super start and were rewarded withone of  the first certificates of the term.

The shed monitors have spent many breaks sorting, tidying and ordering our PE equipment out.

Luke received this for a super start to year 6.
First art lessons...painting Van Gogh style

Carl from Inspire+ is teaching us some disability sports this term We started with Boccia.
learning the techniques
bonus points if Boccia ball lands on the inner spot

learning tactics too

Carl reflecting on the lesson

13th September was Roald Dahl Day, it was extra special this year as it was 100 years since Dahl's birth so we helped celebrate this .
We could come to school dressed in yellow( Dahl's favourite colour), as a character from Dahl's books or with our clothes inside out and back to front!
We worked in groups and chose  a poem written by Dahl and worked on a performance of the poem .
The boys sang Pure Imagination

A performance of The Pig...

The pig turned the table on the farmer and ate him before he became bacon!

The Crocodile...

The rowing song...

We voted our top 3 and they performed in our Collective Worship
class 1 enjoyed The Pig eating the farmer

Our first  whole class picture

In the afternoon some performed their own poems

A great start to the new term.
