Red Nose Day in Class 3
Wearing our own clothes, red noses and other RND paraphanalia, we finished off our Oliver Twist story writing and our Pi Day maths...Happy Red Nose Day.

On Friday 15th we all came to school in non uniform paying £1 for Red Nose Day.
Mrs Cox and the School Council organised a cake sale where everyone enjoyed buying delicious cakes for our playtime snack.

Lloyd and Megan as the year 6 School Council helped Mrs.Cox set the cake sale up ready for break time.

Counting the money...so far we raised over £35 selling cakes...
and almost £90 from £1 non uniform donations.
14.3.19 was Pi Day in Class 3
14th of March is Pi Day celebrating everything to do with pi or 3.142 and circles, circumferences and diameters. We looked at what pi was, how to work out the circumference of a circle and how to calculate pi. We played a "say what you see" game all related to pi- with some quite funny catchphrases, read a story about Sir Cumference and The Dragon of Pi and completed some activities relating to 3.14159265...

Our School Council
Each class this week had to vote for a boy and girl from each year group to act as representitives on our School Council.
Votes were counted and the 14 children elected held their first meeting with Mrs.Cox where they made decisions about World Book day and also Red Nose Day.

High 5 Netball matches
On Thursday ,after the sunny few days earlier in the week, our High 5 Netball team played 3matches - 2 league and 1 friendly match on a the cold and drizzly evening at Priory School.It ended being played under flood lights as it got dark!
We had qualified for league 2 so knew we would have to play well.
Our first match was against Ropsley and we turned a 1-2 loss at half time into a 4- 2 win.
Game 2 was against St.Mary's and we won 6- 0.
Our final game( a friendly ) was against Huntingtower.We lost 3-4 in a closely fought game.
The team played superb netball demonstrating excellent netball skills and team work.

Tag Rugby Coacing in Class 3
We welcomed Will Pert back to coach Tag Rugby. Will is coaching class 2 and 3 and then running an after school club for R, Y 1,2 and 3.
Class 3 enjoyed a warm sunny afternoon playing various games to get us used to working as a team, throwing and catching a rugby ball.
