Kingswood Dormitory Awards.

During our residential at Kingswood, all teachers kept a check on the dormitories, looking for how organised they were, how tidy, how clean and how quiet at night they all were. Some rooms were better than others in some areas but not so good in others! It was difficult at times for the larger rooms with lots of clothes, bags, sweets and boots to sort out but at times these rooms were quieter than some of the larger ones!
1 room when they knew we were checking, set the alarm for 6.50 ( 10 minutes before our official wake up time) to start to tidy-very impressive boys. Some rooms even located the hoover and feather duster and used it!1 room added flowers in a vase on the window ledge.I do hope all  these new skills have been maintained at home!?
Points were added and at the end of the week we did a final check and 1 dorm was immaculate with bedding folded exactly as it was on our arrival- great work girls.Others still had coats, towels, food etc left in rooms!
Results were shared with the whole group and everyone got something as all dorms had their own strengths and scored during the week.
3 groups were awarded 5 stars, 1 group 4 stars( the alarm group of boys) and 2 rooms( they knew who they were and knew what let them down!) were awarded 3 stars.

Our 5 star winning dorm members are...

These girls strengths were:they had the flowers in the room, used the hoover to clean the carpet and folded their bedding perfectly on the last day.

These girls were well organised, tidy and quiet at night.

The boys were organised, tidy and settled at night ( even though one night before lights out we did see a game of "pin ball" pinging across the top bunks!)
