Sport Relief Decathlon Challenge

As well as dressing up in sports gear, learning about what the donated money is used for, we wanted to set ourselves a sporting challenge.Could we as a whole class complete 10 separate 1 minute challenges in 30 minutes?
We decided the challenges, got the equipment ready- as we knew that we needed quick change overs so we did not loose time and went with our official adjudicators ( Mrs Cooney and Mrs Millar) to the hall.If more all the class were not completing all the time then we had failed the task and had to repeat it!
First challenge- a jog around the hall( would also act as our warm up).

Netballers, ice skaters, cricketers, climbers, gymnasts, rugby players, footballers, horse riders, tennis players, judo-all jogging
Next challenge-hooping
it did not matter if the hoop fell as long s it was started again quickly!

easy for some-a challenge for others!
3rd challenge:
skipping with our hoops

some really skipping well
 phew-it's tiring!

ladder relay
keeping moving, no stopping

throwing and catching in pairs-we failed our first attempt and had to redo it!(too many dropped and not good throwing according to our adjudicator)

individual skills

uni hoc dribbling round the hall

avoiding our class mates-not easy when 29 are concentrating on their skills-we did well.
The next 2 activities we completed outside-non stop netball goal shooting and then finally a running team relay.
10 events-our Sport Relief Challenge was met-success!
