Lincolnshire Day 1st October

To help celebrate Lincolnshire Day we composed our own Acrostic and Alphabet to try to represent what is special about our county.
Here is our class Acrostic-

Lincolnshire, our home county
Isaac Newton the famous scientist was born here
Nature reserves for all to enjoy
Cathedral, majestic and proud
Oak tree-the largest living oak tree is near Bourne
Lincoln-home to our cathedral, university and football club
Newton, the measure of force
Sausages, premium quality Lincolnshire ones
Heritage all around us
Imp-hiding in the cathedral
Red Arrows are based here
Edith Smith was the first female police officer from Grantham.
