We had a tour where we learned about various parts of the cathedral. These chairs have seats like swans webbed feet- as St Hugh's emblem is a swan.
We saw the Lincoln Imp, learned about the font, the carvings, height of the building...and much more.
The plaque shows information about Dame Margaret Thorold- we saw this for the first time.
We had an activity writing and making prayers for people or places throughout the world.
We made wind turbine windmills encouraging us to think about how to look after our planet.
5 children read prayers; Josef, Leah,Megan, Lucy and Holly- they read beautifully infront of the other 18 schools at the afternoon service.
Lots of actions to go with the song.
Harry and Lucy with our banner and the candle we were given.
At the end of the day...
A happy Y6.
The visit is a celebration of the children's journey through school as part of the Church School Family.
