Legacy Log Assembly with our Bronze Ambassadors.

This week  our Bronze Ambassadors delivered the Legacy Log  assembly to the school. We learned about the importance of eating a balanced diet and  taking exercise .We heard Shona McCullins hockey  challenge and learned the country we will represent at the Mini Olympics for Y 3 &4 in the summer.

The ambassadors asked questions to see if we knew which meals and foods were healthy.

They reminded us about the recent big sporting events that have taken place.

Carl from Inspire+ read the Legacy declaration reminding us of the Olympic values

We signed a hockey stick that will be passed to Shona to wish her luck before the World Championships.

James drew the country of New Zealand for us to represent in the summer.

The hockey challenge  is to see how many 10m hockey dribbles children can complete. Class 1 and 2 managed 1770m.

On Thursday the ambassadors went to Belmont School to pass the Legacy Tour bag and hockey stick onto the next school. They read the Legacy declaration to the whole school.

Respect

We are having a big focus on respect and have a new display where each week children in class 3 and adults will nominate and vote for who they think shows respect and deserves a special certificate for this. Our first vote saw a tie with George in Y6 and Zack in Y5 receiving the most votes.
Well done boys.

Play Leader Practice with new equipment.
We have a new bag full of equipment so we had a class session where activities were planned and practised with peers ready for sharing with the school at lunch times.
